Krabi & southern Thailand

Plan your days around the coast

Krabi and the southern Andaman coast are easiest to enjoy when routes are planned by distance and daylight. Ao Nang works as a practical hub for island departures, while mainland lookouts and quiet bays sit within comfortable day trips.

Each itinerary below shows how the stops connect, how long each leg takes, and where local transport fits in. Use them as a starting point, then tell us what matters most to you.

Ao Nang

A gateway for island departures

Ao Nang is the natural starting point for many coastal days. Longtail and speedboat departures leave from the harbour for nearby islands, and the town's seaside restaurants make a relaxed place to begin or end the day.

Plan sunset excursions around the afternoon light, when the limestone cliffs turn warm and the bay quiets down.

Multiple itineraries

Routes for different pacing

Choose a mainland lookout morning, a sunset run along the coast, or a slower day in secluded marine bays. Each route is adjustable.

Mainland lookouts and cliffs

A morning drive to viewpoints above the bay, with time for short walks and photographs before the heat builds.

Sunset and marine bays

A late-afternoon boat run to quiet bays, timed to finish with the sun dropping behind the cliffs and a relaxed transfer back to town.
